1. Ellison Provincial Park

Located on the shores of Okanagan Lake, Ellison Provincial Park offers vehicle accessible camping between two beautiful bays. Campsites are spacious and Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine trees provide shade and privacy. A short trail from your campsite will take you down to the lake, with scenic picnic areas and three sandy swimming beaches to choose from. There are also 6km of hiking trails in the park which can take you up to stunning lookouts with panoramic views of the lake. There are plenty of amenities available in the park, including a playground, a dog beach, showers, and more.

2. Fintry Lake Provincial Park

Fintry Lake Provincial Park offers vehicle accessible camping, with 2km of waterfront surrounded by mountains and canyons. This park is a heritage site with a rich history. Once known as ‘Fintry Estate’, its historic Manor house and farm buildings are still standing, and guided tours are offered. The park also includes designated Special Feature-Natural Conservation Areas, so is a great spot for wildlife viewing. There are plenty of recreation options, such as swimming, canoeing, hiking, and biking. The Shorts Creek Trail offers a hike up a canyon to view an impressive two-tiered waterfall.

3. Kekuli Bay Provincial Park

Located only five minutes from Vernon, Kekuli Bay Provincial Park offers vehicle accessible camping on the shores of Kalamalka Lake. Nestled on a grassy hillside, all campsites offer a view of the lake. In the park there is access to the Rail Trail—a scenic walking and biking trail that follows the lake shore from Coldstream all the way to Kelowna. The campground offers a playground, boat launch, showers, and electric hookups. The name “kekuli” refers to semi-subterranean homes built by Interior Salish First-Nations.

Tucked away next to BX Falls, Cedar Falls Campground offers serviced and unserviced sites for RV’s, campers or tents. Every site is bordered by trees to provide ample shade.  Cedar Falls is labelled as a quiet wilderness retreat. However, those craving activity can venture over to the nearby BX Creek and Falls Trail for a hike.  The campground offers many amenities such as a laundromat, showers, a seasonal store with WiFi access, an open play area, and a sani-dump.

A camping oasis! Just North of Vernon, Swan Lake RV Resort has full-service sites next to the lake and is the perfect spot for those who want a luxury RV camping experience. Established in 1867, O’Keefe Ranch has heritage tours, museum exhibitions, and farm animals. Right across from the heritage site is O’Keefe Ranch RV Park which offers sites with power and water. Conveniently located onsite is the Cattlemen’s Club Restaurant and a gift shop. The site also has washrooms and a cowboy shower house. The entire campsite can also be reserved for your special event!

7. Swan Lake RV Park and Campground

Swan Lake RV Park and Campground is located on the quiet western shore of Swan Lake. The campground has full hookup, partial service, and tent sites with views of the serene Swan Lake. They have easy lake access and provide pedal boats, canoes and a rowboat free for campers, as well as stand-up paddleboards for rent. A great spot to enjoy boating, fishing, and nature.

8. Silver Star RV Park

1km North of Vernon on the shore of Swan Lake, Silver Star RV Park offers full hookup and partial-service sites. The campground has a heated outdoor pool; perfect for the kids, a quick cool-off, or a lounging on the deck. You can get a lakeside site under the willow trees or a site next to the pool in their WiFi hotspot! They offer canoe rentals, showers, a laundromat, a sani-dump, a dog run, a playground, and a general store.

9. Sandy Beach Campground on Okanagan Lake

This campground is right on Kin Beach in Vernon and steps from the North end of Okanagan Lake. Sandy Beach has tenting and full-service RV sites and full washroom facilities. A great location since you can also enjoy the sand, picnic area, lawn, playground, and volleyball nets at Kin Beach! Give them a call to make your reservation.

Experience camping with the convenience of being right by the city! Dutch’s campground is located in Coldstream, right next to Vernon and Kalamalka Lake. Dutch’s has well shaded serviced sites and tenting sites next to Vernon Creek. It’s an easy walk to the sandy Kal Beach for swimming, paddleboarding or relaxing on the dock. The campground is also close to a general store, a golf course, restaurants, and the Rail Trail. Bonus, there is a 9 hole mini golf course on site!
